FEE and PAYMENT *This year, the fee is $55. $50 will be in the pool. The other $5 ($665) will be donated to the American Cancer Society or another charity that supports cancer research or helps people with cancer. *$55 fee MUST be paid by August 1st. Teams will be drawn when all fees are paid. *I am not chasing $55. There are others who want to play. Failure to pay by August 1st will result in your team being given to someone else. *All money collected will be awarded out. *You can pay by 1. Give it to Greg Williams directly. 2. Mail to 1111 Glen Drive, NE New Philadelphia, Ohio 44663 3. I have a VENMO account. @Greg-Williams-223 RULES OF THE GAME 1. Each person will get one NCAA FBS team drawn at random. This will be your team for the entire season. There are 133 FBS teams for the 2023 season.
2. If your team scores exactly 18 or 46 points (final score, win or lose), you win the weekly pot. The game has to be an official FINAL SCORE to count for the pool. 3. The pot starts at $470 and builds each week 18 or 46 is not hit.
4. If there are multiple teams who hit the number on a given week, the pot is divided among the winners.
5. Use the following to see the schedule. https://www.espn.com/college-football/schedule Note: *Week 1 is Saturday, August 26th ONLY *Week 2 starts Thursday, August 31 and runs through Monday, September 4 *All other weeks begin with Tuesday
6. Based on a 14 week schedule. Each team will have its 1st 12 regular season games count for this pool. Conference championship games are NOT counted. Bowl games are NOT counted. If there are any teams that have 13 scheduled regular season games (I have not found a team like this for this year), only the first 12 regular season games will count. 7. Army/Navy: The Army/Navy game (played after conference championship weekend) will be counted as week 14 games for Army and Navy. So, Army and Navy will have 2 week 14 games.
8. Week 14: If 18 or 46 is not hit on week 14, the winner will be the team that scores closest to 46 WITHOUT GOING OVER. (17 will be hit too many times, so we can’t use 18 for the tiebreaker). If your team does NOT play in week 14, then you can use the score of your team’s last regular season game. Example: If Duke has a bye in week 14, but had their last regular season game in week 13, their week 13 score will now be eligible to win the final pot if 18 or 46 is not hit. 9. If your team has a game that is cancelled and not rescheduled, tough luck. Your team will have 1 fewer game for the pool. 10. If your team for any reason plays fewer than 12 games, again, tough luck. Bowl games and conference championship games will NOT count. 11. If your team has a game that is cancelled and then rescheduled, then that game will count. Example, Ohio State’s week 1 game is cancelled due to thunderstorms, and rescheduled for week 10. That game would now become a week 10 game for the pool. 12. If your team has a game that is cancelled and then rescheduled for AFTER WEEK 14, then that game will count as a week 14 game. Example, Louisiana Tech’s week 1 game is cancelled due to wild fires near the stadium, and rescheduled for the week of conference championships or after. That game would now become a week 14 game. This would potentially give Louisiana Tech and their opponent 2 week 14 games, provided they both already played week 14 games. ***We’ve tried to think of everything, but there may be scenarios that come up that are unique and not covered in the rules. If that happens, we will try to make a fair decision for everyone involved.

COVID: If Covid issues come up, we'll figure out something that is fair. But, if your team loses a few games due to COVID, tough luck. If your team loses an entire season, you will get your money back. Otherwise, we'll figure it out. It's only $50 that you are gambling with, and part of the gamble is that your team plays all of its games.
